I got in for an oil change Tuesday at about 9:50 a.m. and the mechanic was finished in less than 30 minutes. Very impressive! Not even my regular mechanic of 5+ years has done that before. (Guess who may just have a new mechanic?!)
Of all the people I contacted about this job, Gary (the owner) replied to my inquiry the fastest, even considering I inquired on a Sunday, when they were closed. (One of the businesses I inquired with didn't reply until 2 days later, -after- I was already on my way home from AAMCO!)
And, of all the businesses I contacted, AAMCO's prices were the best! (Even before considering any Veteran's discount, which was extremely generous!)
I went to an AAMCO in Washington state, & by the time they were finished with me, I paid double what everyone else charges, & the warranty, literally, wasn't worth the paper it was written on.
I took my car in for a small transmission leak. The technician found a problem with the transmission and it was recommended to replace it with a factory rebuild one. They also found that the air compressor was leaking and one seal on the engine was also leaking. I agreed to have all of it fixed. I picked my car up after they called me that it was ready. That was on a Saturday. When I drove home I noticed that it was just not shifting right. Very jerky. I parked it in my garage and it was then that the transmission was leaking quite a bit of fluid. Come Monday I took it back and explained the problem. After forty five minutes test driving They determined that the transmission was faulty and it would have to be replaced again. The staff was very apologetic about it and arranged a rental car for me. It is all fixed now and running as it should. I very much appreciated their concern and help with the rental. That bad transmission was not their fault but they went out of their way to be helpful.
I can highly recommend them. They treat you right.
Thanks, Gary and everyone else at 6871 E 1st!
I cannot believe how helpful, kind and awesome the owners and their employees are! We had previously had transmission work done at a Scottsdale location, only to have the transmission go bad in bumper to bumper traffic on the labor day weekend. We were on our way to our adopted daughters wedding. Although they were closed, they open their doors and hearts; called in their mechanic from home and got us on the road again. Without them, we never would have seen her walk down the aisle. I cannot, simply cannot thank them for making her day special and for taking care of us. Highly recommend them for your automotive service.
A year later, when the transmission fell completely apart, I found AAMCO in Prescott Valley, Arizona. These guys did everything in their power to make things right with me. They do good work & treat their customers the way they should be treated. I highly recommend AAMCO in Prescott Valley, Az.
I dropped two screws in the engine compartment while working on my car and could not find them. When I drove the car I could hear an awful grinding. I called Gary, the owner, and told him what happened. He said to bring the car in and he will have it put on the lift and take care of the problem free of charge. What? I couldn't believe my ears. Took the car down and the problem is fixed. They also noticed two of my tires were separating and tightened some loose bolts the found. I will be bringing my business to AAMCO moving forward. Thanks Gary and staff!
