Not bad.. good thing.. no other choices on this town
Sadly they're the only self serve yard in the area, so they naturally control the market. They nickel and dime you with everything you purchase and prices are over inflated. $450 for a used engine "with accessories" with no warranty/guarantee is a little excessive. The website also makes no claim as to what accessories mean. Its not until you get to checkout after spending 3 hours pulling an engine you find out accessories don't include necessary items like injectors or fuel rail, throttle body, coil pack, or even spark plugs. If you want it all, complete, turn key it'll cost you close to $800 for an untested, most likely mileage known, engine. Also watch out for when buying anything wiring harness. They'll get you there too. Because my harness had a few relays on it, they wanted to charge me $3 per relay. To the guys surprise, I took my knife out and hacked up the harness and relay right there. When he inquired about if I needed them, I told him no, they're not worth $3 a piece, especially because the weight of them is only a few ounces
The worst service ever!! WORST!! drove over 100 miles to spend $500 on parts. Not getting my money or business. I am a business owner and if you idiots tried to open in a real city where people aren't forced to use you... you'd be shut down!! Owner and son, little tip for ya, expressing to customers that you are only worried about what goes in your register and not your customers needs?! Without customers, YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS! And a shout out to J. Boyd, look for a new job because customer service is not your thing. I understand you're not running a 5 star resort, but man you need to learn how to talk to people, NICELY.
Word to the higher ups, make your yards more affordable and I bet you'll make a lot more money. Down in the valley, their prices are more than 1/2 the cost for a lot of items. They don't nickel and dime you for a complete engine you pulled in less than 3 hours. To a junkyard, a car is only worth it's weight in scrap when it's done being picked, so why are you buying it for scrap weight value and screwing your customers on the free money you make off the middle?
With the prices of replacement car parts on the rise, U Pick It is a must visit. There are hundreds of vehicles. All makes and models. The staff is friendly, fast and knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer, they are glad to look it up online for you. There is a$2 entrance fee that is good for the entire day. A treasure hunters paradise. Call for prices as they also buy scrap steel.
We came to find a suspension spring for a square body truck and we're greeted with slow customer service. The layout of the cars were very simple and very easy to find the vehicle we needed. The prices were reasonable and fair. Definitely would recommend.
