Allen was very nice and tested and checked out my air conditioner. He could find nothing wrong but we desided to put it in one pound of r22. For the evaluation and r22 he charged me $271.00, WAY TO MUCH? The next day I had the same problem. I had him to check for. I called another company and they found the problem in a few minutes, the motor on the fan was seizing up when it got hot.
I updated my original review. While my experience started off bad, this company made sure that everything was made right. Mistakes do happen, it is good to know that you are dealing with a company that will make sure that they right any wrong that was made.
We've had an annual heating and cooling check each year for the 8 years we've lived in Central Arizona. The only comments have been the units are like new. We called a company we used previously and made the annual appointment. After the tech arrived, we were advised the former company was bought out. We let the tech do the check-up for the $59 intro offer. After a brief inspection of the A/C unit, the report began with a sales pitch for several maintenance plans. We were told our Compressor switch was bad and needed replacement for nearly $800, discounted if we bought the service plan for $19.99 per month. We were given a list of items that would need attention adding up to thousands in additional maintenance fees. Without inspecting the heating unit in the attic, he verbally reported we had rat infestation and needed ducts cleaned and other work. Hubby fell for the scare tactic and had the switch replaced... all I will say about any company recommending maintenance repairs when you haven't noticed a problem with the unit, is to wait and pay for a second opinion.
Went with this company because of an emergency, no A/C in 105° temps, and all other companies were 2 weeks out. They said it was a wiring issue, charged us $480 when really it was a piece of stuck styrofoam in a fan that blew in on a windy day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Unless of course you like throwing money away, and then you could go to Vegas and enjoy it a little more.
I think you charged me to much and did not find or fix the problem. You should just charged for the inspection maybe $75.00 and not $271.00. I really think you should refund the other $196.00, I feel you took advantage of me because of my age. If you do not respond I'll file a report with the BBB.
Everything about the appointment was A+ from the initial contact to the final 'see you next time.' It was easy to make the appointment, and they called when Brandon was on his way. Brandon was very professional, yet amiable in doing his job. He asked solid questions and allowed us the time to answer without interrupting or second guessing. He was also very helpful in discussing whether or not our toilets need replacing and how we should go about doing so when the time comes. We will continue to use Ben Franklin for all our plumbing needs! Thank you for the great service!
