Better make sure your car looks nice, or expect to be specifically targeted due to appearance. Also, don't think you are safe just following the speed limit or laws alone. PVPD will pick and choose what cars they suspect to have "drugs", even searching these same law-abiding citizens 4 or 5 times in a month all without a warrant or probable cause. Officers will also threaten to "do worse" to you after arresting you for refusing an illegal search with no warrant and break various items in your vehicle. If your car comes up clean, expect some other made up charge thrown on the spot. They will also throw you in handcuffs for recording a traffic stop. Their biggest fear is accountability. These officers want nothing more than to make their quota, extorting innocent citizens while violent crimes right here in Prescott Valley go without justice. These cops can get away with anything.
Love our police department. Keep up the good work. My family and I feel very safe in our town thanks to the PVPD!
Why is it that my neighbor cop is always and I mean always scoping me out. STOP IT!!!
When my mom passed away Officer Brad Penner came to take care of things. That man was so nice, caring, felt my pain. He spoke to me about my Mom like he knew her and treated me ne with respect and dignity. This was almost four years ago and I still think of him and his compassion and kindness.
These police really have no idea what they're doing, in response to the opiod epedemic they're using unessacary force to take down these individual's. I don't see how taking away one's rights and chance of bettering themselves by throwing them in jail and having them walk around with this label. How is someone suppose to quit without proper support, this stress is sure to double the drug use in Prescott Valley guatanteed. Instead of ruining these peoples chances at having a normal life why not work with them, show them ways to quit and better themselves, boost they're want to quit not make them hope the drug kills them so they don't have to worry about cops barging down their door and taking them away from friends and family, and just be labeled as a no good druggie. Teach them about these drugs to let them know exactly how it works and what will happen when they quit other than putting them on a legal perscription opiate that will only help temporarily but end with more withdrawls to deal with after. Make progams that are widely avabile to these people and help them work it out no one deserves to go through this much stress just because they're lives are so cluttered that they felt this was this only option to a stress free life. Step it up.
