Great customer service. Had a defective tool and it was replaced quickly and efficiently.
Management is terrible! Employees are not trained on the products they sell and they are unable to give solid/good advise to customers needing a helping hand. Stay away from this store...go to Home Depot in Prescott or Lowes.
We are preparing our house to go on the market and we had a few projects to complete first. I have made 6 trips (in one week) to the Prescott Valley store and they have the absolute worst managers/employees on the face of the earth. This store doesn't hire people with previous experience in flooring. Electrical, building, plumbing, etc. They just hire anyone with a pulse and set them loose advising homeowners on how to repair things when they don't know the difference between screwdriver and a light bulb. I actually brought my old parts with me and still had a guy in electrical sell me the incorrect parts which resulted in damage to my ceiling fan.
This really has to do with Home Depot and not my local store per se. Went to purchase a skylight replacement dome. Item is not in stock in store and was told to order online and have it shipped to the store. At home could not order item online, and advised to go into store to special order item. Went back to store and was told they cannot special order item because it is available at another store that is over 65 miles away from where we live. Our local store cannot have the item shipped from store to store. Why have something online if you cannot order it, seems the only items you can order online are those that are already in the store.
I should have stopped shopping here when they quit matching Lowes 5% off when using your store card. Shopping @ the Prescott Valley store is a matter of convenience but it's no longer an option. I would rather drive to Prescott and shop at Lowes or the other Home Depot Store since they seem to want your business and hire better employees (IMO).
I spoke with management (think the guys name was Mike) and he wasn't sympathetic at all and didn't seem to care that I had made so many trips due to his employee’s incompetence. It seemed as though my complaining was bothering him so I asked for 1-800 # and he refused to share it with me. He said he would be the one to follow up anyway so it made no difference. Seems Mike doesn't want his bosses knowing he is doing a lousy job! The manager I spoke to was rude, condescending, and incapable of dealing with customers in a professional manner.
I do not recommend this store if you are going to need help/direction with your project. You are likely going to burn your house to the ground if you listen to these "so called professionals." Go to Lowes in Prescott!
The reason the store got one stars because they had what I needed however the customer service completely sucked as very very very disappointed the last several times I've been in there I have not been able to get good help nobody wants to help nobody wants to do anything I actually even called and complain to the manager if I had the phone number for corporate I would complain to them too I have easily spent more than $3,500 there this year easily no doubt in my mind at all but I want you to know I'll be shopping at Lowe's from now on sick and tired of not getting any help the other night I was in there and I bought $300 worth of lumber my Hundred ten pound wife was the one helping me loaded there was two employees working right next to where we were trying load are Lumber so Home Depot you just lost this customer for life I'm sick and tired of not getting any help your employees
